Temperament is the reason to choose a Cane Corso — or the reason to choose another breed. This is a loyal, watchful, trainable dog when the puppy is raised in a house and placed with people who will keep teaching.
What “guardian” means at eleven weeks
A Corso puppy is not guarding your driveway yet. What you should see is interest in people, a quick recovery from surprise, and a preference for being near the group. That interest becomes protection later. If you skip the social work, you do not get a noble guardian. You get a nervous adult.

Who should not get this breed
