A simple picture
At go-home age you have a heavy, compact puppy. By four to six months the legs lengthen and the pup looks rangy. By a year the frame is mostly there. Fill-out continues into year two, especially in males. Adult weight is commonly 90 to 110 pounds. Height is commonly 23 to 27 inches.
Protect the joints
Growth plates are open. Skip forced jogging, bike runs, and repeated ball leaping. Daily walks, play on grass, and training games are enough. Stairs in moderation. Slippery floors are a hazard, not a workout.
