The first week decides the next year. A Cane Corso puppy will learn your house as fast as they learned ours. Make the lessons the ones you want to keep.
Day one
Potty outside, then a short explore of one or two rooms. Water. A meal. A nap in the crate. No parade of neighbors. No pet store. The puppy just left everything they knew. Let the nervous system land.
Sleep
Corsos crash hard after play. A crate in your room for the first nights prevents lonely barking and potty accidents. Carry them out at night if you have to. You will not do this forever. You will be glad you did it for ten days.
The house rules
Pick them now: furniture or not, kitchen or not, kids’ rooms or not. Every adult has to say the same thing. A Corso will test the softest person in the room. That is not dominance theater. That is a smart puppy looking for the real rule.
We send a starter kit and feeding notes so week one is not a scavenger hunt. When you are ready, read how going home works and reserve.
